पूर्णिया जिले के बायसी बाजार में बाल श्रम के खिलाफ चलाए गए एक अभियान के तहत शुक्रवार को दो बाल श्रमिकों को मुक्त कराया गया। मुक्त कराए गए बच्चों की उम्र लगभग 10 और 13 वर्ष बताई जा रही है। इनमें से एक बच्चा बिरयानी की दुकान पर, जबकि दूसरा रेडीमेड गारमेंट्स की दुकान पर काम कर रहा था।
इस अभियान में पूर्णिया पूर्व के श्रम प्रवर्तन पदाधिकारी कुणाल किशोर सिंह, अमौर के आदित्य प्रियदर्शी, कसबा के शुभम प्रियदर्शी, केनगर के अमित कश्यप, अवधेश कुमार सहित सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता शेखर तिर्की एवं प्रयास जैक सोसाइटी के प्रतिनिधि तथा संबंधित थाना के पुलिसकर्मी शामिल रहे।
अभियान के दौरान दोनों बच्चों को बाल श्रम से मुक्त कराने के बाद बाल कल्याण समिति के समक्ष प्रस्तुत किया गया। समिति के आदेशानुसार, दोनों बच्चों को कटिहार स्थित वृहद आश्रय गृह में आवासित कराया गया है। वहीं, इस मामले में संबंधित थाने में दुकानदारों के खिलाफ प्राथमिकी दर्ज करने की प्रक्रिया की जा रही है।
श्रम अधीक्षक पूर्णिया, रामसागर पाल ने बताया कि श्रम प्रवर्तन टीम ने बायसी बाजार में दो दुकानों से दो बाल श्रमिकों को मुक्त कराकर बाल कल्याण समिति के हवाले कर दिया है। संबंधित दुकानदारों के खिलाफ कानूनी कार्रवाई की जाएगी और प्राथमिकी दर्ज कराई जाएगी। यह अभियान बाल श्रम उन्मूलन की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम है।
Two child laborers were rescued from Baisi market in Purnea district on Friday as part of an ongoing campaign against child labor. The rescued children are approximately 10 and 13 years old. One child was working at a biryani shop, while the other was employed at a readymade garments store.
The operation involved Labor Enforcement Officers Kunal Kishor Singh from Purnea East, Aditya Priyadarshi from Amour, Shubham Priyadarshi from Kasba, Amit Kashyap from K. Nagar, and Awadhesh Kumar. Social worker Shekhar Tirki, representatives from Prayas Jack Society, and police personnel from the concerned police station also participated.
Following their rescue, both children were presented before the Child Welfare Committee. As per the committee's orders, they have been housed in the comprehensive shelter home in Katihar. The process of filing an FIR against the shopkeepers at the relevant police station is underway.
Purnea Labor Superintendent Ramsagar Pal stated that the labor enforcement team handed over the two rescued child laborers to the Child Welfare Committee. An FIR will be registered against the concerned shopkeepers. This initiative marks a significant step towards eradicating child labor.
