Ballia police have achieved a significant breakthrough by arresting three absconding accused who had been evading capture since 2015 in connection with cases of assault and snatching. The arrests were made on Tuesday night from various locations within the Ballia police station area. According to the police, these individuals had been on the run since warrants were issued against them more than a decade ago.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Ranjan Kumar Sahu from Sadanandpur (Ballia police station area), Ranjit Kumar from Mohammadpur (Dandari police station area), and Mohammad Dilshad from Ballia Bazar (Ballia police station area). Police stated that these accused were involved in various criminal activities and had successfully evaded law enforcement for a long time. Their arrests followed a sustained search effort based on court-issued warrants.

Acting on confidential information, a special raiding team was formed by the Ballia Police Station Officer. Utilizing technical surveillance and local informants, the team pinpointed the hideouts of the accused. Ranjan Kumar Sahu was apprehended from Sadanandpur, followed by Ranjit Kumar from Mohammadpur in the Dandari police station area, and finally, Mohammad Dilshad from Ballia Bazar. All three have been sent to judicial custody.

The police emphasized that this operation sends a strong message that no criminal, regardless of how long they have absconded, can escape justice. The arrests are expected to help curb criminal activities in the region, and efforts to apprehend other absconding criminals will continue.
