बिहार में बांकीपुर विधानसभा सीट के उपचुनाव की मतगणना जारी है, जिसमें जन सुराज के प्रशांत किशोर प्रचंड जीत की ओर अग्रसर दिख रहे हैं। 15 राउंड की गिनती के बाद प्रशांत किशोर 8000 से अधिक वोटों से आगे चल रहे हैं, जिससे भाजपा के नीरज सिन्हा काफी पीछे छूट गए हैं। राष्ट्रीय जनता दल की रेखा गुप्ता भी इस मुकाबले में हैं, लेकिन उनकी स्थिति कमजोर बनी हुई है।
मतगणना केंद्र पर सुरक्षा के कड़े इंतजाम किए गए हैं, जिसमें केंद्रीय अर्द्धसैनिक बल और बिहार पुलिस के जवान तैनात हैं। पूरे परिसर की सीसीटीवी कैमरों से निगरानी की जा रही है और स्ट्रांग रूम को कड़ी सुरक्षा में रखा गया है। कुल 25 उम्मीदवार इस सीट से अपनी किस्मत आजमा रहे हैं, जिनके भविष्य का फैसला आज हो रहा है।
ताजा रुझानों के अनुसार, 15 राउंड की गिनती के बाद प्रशांत किशोर को भारी संख्या में वोट मिले हैं। 13 राउंड पूरे होने तक जन सुराज ने बड़ी बढ़त बना ली थी, जिसमें प्रशांत किशोर भाजपा के नीरज सिन्हा से 7 हजार वोटों से आगे थे। 10 राउंड की गिनती के बाद प्रशांत किशोर ने 6000 से अधिक वोटों की लीड बना ली थी।
मतगणना के विभिन्न चरणों में प्रशांत किशोर लगातार अपनी बढ़त बनाए हुए हैं। आठवें राउंड के बाद उनकी लीड 4500 से अधिक वोटों की थी, और सातवें राउंड में वे 3811 वोटों से आगे थे। छठे राउंड तक उन्हें 11603 वोट मिल चुके थे, जबकि नीरज सिन्हा को 8152 और रेखा कुमारी को 2154 वोट मिले थे। पहले राउंड की गिनती में भी प्रशांत किशोर ने 862 वोटों की बढ़त के साथ शुरुआत की थी, जिसमें उन्हें 2225 वोट मिले थे। बांकीपुर सीट पर कुल 31 राउंड में वोटों की गिनती की जाएगी। इस सीट पर 30 जुलाई को मतदान हुआ था, जिसमें महज 34.30 फीसदी मतदान दर्ज किया गया था।

Polling for this seat was held on July 30, with a turnout of just 34.30 percent.
