An armed robbery took place at a Cashpor Micro Credit branch in Barauni, Begusarai district, on Tuesday, where robbers looted ₹1.02 lakh. The incident occurred in broad daylight, causing panic in the area. Upon receiving information, the Begusarai SP arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation.

According to reports, at approximately 2 PM on Tuesday, three armed assailants entered the Cashpor Micro Credit branch located in Barauni Bazar. They held the employees and customers present at gunpoint. Threatening the staff, the robbers took ₹1.02 lakh from the cash counter. After committing the robbery, all the criminals fled the scene, brandishing their weapons in the air.

Upon learning of the incident, local police immediately reached the spot. The police interrogated the branch manager and other employees. Subsequently, the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Begusarai also arrived to inspect the entire situation. The SP has instructed police officials to take swift action and apprehend the culprits. Police are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the vicinity to identify the robbers.

According to the police, the criminals executed the robbery in a planned manner. Roadblocks have been set up in the escape routes and surrounding areas. Police teams are conducting raids at various potential hideouts. This incident has heightened concerns among traders in Barauni Bazar regarding security arrangements. The police have assured that the criminals will be apprehended soon.
