The high-mast light installed near the Sun Temple in Pai Bigha, under Belaganj block of Gaya district, has been out of order for the past two months. This malfunction has plunged the temple premises and its surrounding areas into darkness, causing significant inconvenience to devotees and local residents.

Villagers report that several minor accidents have occurred in the area due to the lack of light. According to resident Ram Uday Sharma, people face particular difficulty commuting at night because of the darkness.

The auspicious Chhath Puja festival is fast approaching. During Chhath, a large number of devotees visit this Sun Temple to offer prayers to Lord Surya. If the high-mast light remains non-functional, they will face even greater difficulties.

Local residents and devotees have strongly urged the concerned department and public representatives to promptly repair the high-mast light before the Chhath festival begins. They demand that adequate lighting arrangements be ensured at the temple premises to prevent any inconvenience during the festival and to allow devotees to perform their rituals safely.
