A government school in Bharhi, Madhepura district, is precariously located right beside National Highway-106, completely lacking a boundary wall. This poses a constant and severe threat to the safety of students and teachers. The high-speed traffic on the highway combined with the open school premises creates a recipe for a potential tragedy.

The school's headmaster and local villagers have repeatedly appealed to the administration for the construction of a boundary wall, but their pleas have gone unheard. Villagers express deep concern, noting that young children studying at the school often wander towards the road while playing, making them vulnerable to accidents. The National Highway experiences heavy traffic, with vehicles often moving at high speeds.

The headmaster confirmed that numerous letters have been sent to the department, and officials have been verbally informed about this critical issue. He added that the absence of a boundary wall also allows stray animals to enter the school premises, disrupting the learning environment and posing a challenge to the security of school property.

Local public representatives have also voiced their concern, urging the administration to take swift action. They emphasize that children's safety is paramount and such negligence is inexcusable. If a boundary wall is not constructed soon, a major accident could occur, for which the administration would be held directly responsible. Villagers and school management have once again appealed to the district administration for immediate intervention to ensure the safety and future of the children.
