The Bihar BJP is gearing up to secure victory in all eight upcoming Legislative Council seats. Following its recent defeat in the Bankipur by-election, which the party views as a significant challenge, a core committee meeting was held on Wednesday at the state headquarters. During this meeting, a detailed electoral strategy, dubbed 'Chakravyuh' (a complex military formation), was formulated from the Mandal to the state level.

The crucial meeting, chaired by state president Sanjay Sarawagi, saw the participation of Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Bihar BJP co-in-charges Sangeeta Yadav and Rohan Gupta, who were visiting Bihar for the first time. Bihar BJP in-charge Harish Dwivedi joined online. Union Ministers Giriraj Singh and Nityanand Rai, former minister Mangal Pandey, Agriculture Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, and several other senior party leaders were also present.

After the setback in the Bankipur by-election, the BJP has made the Legislative Council elections a matter of prestige. The party aims not only to retain its existing seats but also to secure victory in one or two new constituencies. To achieve this, all party leaders and organizational office-bearers have been tasked with actively participating in the election campaign. Ministers in the government have also been urged to play an active role in the canvassing efforts.

Under the new strategy, emphasis will be placed on establishing personal contact with all voter segments, including teachers and graduates, to ensure votes for the NDA. It has been decided to organize meetings from the Mandal to the district headquarters level to effectively implement this strategy. The party believes that this comprehensive approach will enable them to win all eight Legislative Council seats and avenge their Bankipur by-election defeat.
