A 22-year-old woman, Ruby Devi, was found dead by suicide in Marsetti Ward No. 7 of Gaura Do Panchayat, under Teghra police station in Begusarai district. Her body was discovered hanging from a ceiling fan in her home on Thursday night. Villagers and family members allege that Ruby Devi had been struggling with the burden of raising two young children after her husband's untimely death a year ago and was reportedly facing difficulties in obtaining government assistance, which may have led to her extreme step.

Ruby Devi was identified as the wife of Shatrughan Tanti. Her husband had died in a train accident approximately a year ago, leaving her deeply distressed and solely responsible for their two children. Her death now raises serious concerns about the future of her son and daughter, who have lost both parents within a year.

Upon receiving information, Teghra police arrived at the scene, took custody of the body, and sent it to Sadar Hospital, Begusarai, for post-mortem examination.
