During the monsoon session of the Bihar Legislative Assembly, representatives from Buxar district brought forth significant issues concerning students and farmers. Sadar MLA Anand Mishra advocated for a new examination centre allocation policy for competitive exams. He urged that students should be allotted exam centres within their home division or a maximum distance of 100 kilometres. Mishra highlighted that the current system often assigns centres in distant districts, leading to wasted time and money for students, besides increasing parental anxiety. He argued that a revised policy would alleviate unnecessary burdens on students and reduce pressure on the state's law and order, traffic, and transport systems.

Meanwhile, JDU MLA Rahul Singh from Dumraon constituency raised concerns about the cleaning of the Bhojpur Rajwaha link line canal and ensuring regular irrigation. He pointed out that this canal, which passes through areas like Nawanagar, Atimi, Bhadar, and Dumraon, has been neglected for years. The lack of regular cleaning and timely water supply has adversely affected farmers in the region. Singh demanded that the government promptly clean the canal and ensure a consistent water supply for irrigation to safeguard agricultural activities and provide relief to farmers. These issues, raised by both public representatives in the assembly, are considered vital for the students and farmers of the district. Public attention is now focused on the government's subsequent actions and decisions.
