A serious incident has highlighted the state of healthcare services at Buxar Sadar Hospital. A female court employee, injured in an accident, arrived at the hospital for treatment but an orthopedic specialist was unavailable for nearly two hours. Ultimately, the injured woman had to seek treatment at a private clinic. Taking serious note of the matter, Special Judge POCSO, Amit Kumar Sharma, has sought an explanation from the Civil Surgeon of Sadar Hospital.

According to information received, on October 30, 2026, Aarti Kumari, a senior clerk working in the court, was injured in an accident. She sustained a significant foot injury and swelling, making her unable to walk. She was taken to Sadar Hospital for treatment. It is reported that after obtaining a government slip at 10:30 AM, she was examined in the emergency ward. Hospital staff then directed her to Room No. 13 to see an orthopedic specialist.

However, due to the doctor's absence, the injured employee suffered in pain for hours, and her treatment could not proceed. Court employees attempted to contact the Civil Surgeon regarding the matter but were unsuccessful. Even after several hours, no doctor was arranged. This incident has brought to light the issue of doctor unavailability and patient distress at Sadar Hospital, prompting the court to take cognizance.
