Buxar: Revenue Staff Strike in Rajpur Block Halts Work, 4,831 Applications Pending
In Bihar's Buxar district, an indefinite strike by revenue staff in the Rajpur block has brought public services to a standstill, causing significant inconvenience to residents. The strike has severely impacted land survey work across all 19 panchayats of the block, as well as the processing of various essential certificates.
Citizens seeking caste, income, and domicile certificates are particularly affected. Reports indicate that 4,831 applications for these and other documents are currently pending, with the number steadily increasing. Students preparing for competitive exams and individuals needing certificates for other crucial government tasks are finding their work stalled. Despite traveling daily to the block headquarters from remote villages, applicants are forced to return home disappointed due to the lack of services.
IT Assistant Dilip Kumar confirmed the growing backlog of applications, leading to extended waiting periods for applicants. Local youth and residents have expressed their dissatisfaction with the administration for not implementing any alternative arrangements to ensure the continuation of services. There is a strong hope among the public that the administration will soon intervene and take necessary steps to resume the affected services.
