A shocking incident has come to light in Buxar district, where a Sarpanch was brutally beaten to death over a land dispute. His two sons were also seriously injured in the attack. Following the incident, enraged villagers blocked a State Highway for approximately three hours, demanding compensation and the immediate arrest of the culprits, bringing traffic to a standstill.

The dispute reportedly stemmed from a 1.5 bigha plot of land. The deceased Sarpanch and his sons were attacked with sticks, rods, and sharp weapons. The Sarpanch succumbed to his injuries on the spot, while his sons sustained severe injuries and have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

Upon receiving information, local police arrived at the scene. They attempted to control the situation and clear the blockade, but the villagers remained firm on their demands. They sought fair compensation for the victim's family and the swift arrest of all attackers, vowing not to end the protest until their demands were met.

The blockade was eventually cleared after police officials assured the villagers of action on their demands. Police have registered a murder case and launched raids to apprehend the accused. This incident once again highlights the severity of violence arising from land disputes in Bihar, creating an atmosphere of deep anger and fear among the local populace.
