Police in Chainpur, Kaimur district, have successfully thwarted an attempt at cattle smuggling by seizing a pickup truck and rescuing 15 cattle. Acting on a tip-off, law enforcement officers raided a location and intercepted the vehicle, which was found to be illegally transporting livestock. While the police managed to confiscate the vehicle and rescue the animals, the smugglers exploited the darkness to escape the scene. Authorities are now actively working to identify and apprehend the absconding individuals.

According to reports, the Chainpur police received intelligence regarding a pickup truck illegally transporting cattle. A team was promptly formed under the leadership of the station in-charge, and a raid was planned. The police team cordoned off the designated area and stopped the suspicious pickup truck. Upon inspection, 15 cattle, including cows and calves, were discovered crammed inside the vehicle, likely being trafficked to a neighboring state. The police immediately removed the animals from the truck and arranged for their care. The seized pickup truck has been brought to the police station premises.
