Daughters from the erstwhile Naxal-affected villages of Chormara and Gurmaha in Jamui district's Barhat block are scripting a new narrative of change. These girls, once confined to their villages due to fear and insecurity, are now showcasing their talent and social awareness at national events. Recently, they returned after participating in the National Unity Day celebration held at Ekta Nagar in Kevadia, Gujarat, presenting a beautiful picture of Jamui's evolving landscape.

During their return journey on Monday, these daughters also fulfilled their social responsibility on the train. They raised awareness among co-passengers about the serious social evil of female foeticide through songs and messages. This information was shared by District Information and Public Relations Officer Dr. Menaka Kumari in a press release on Tuesday. She stated that the journey of these daughters is an inspiring story of the positive changes happening in Jamui.

Dr. Kumari further added that there was a time when it was a challenge for these girls to even step out of their village boundaries. Today, the same daughters are passing their matriculation exams and gaining new experiences by traveling to various parts of the country. This remarkable transformation is attributed to the Central Government's anti-Naxalism campaign and the continuous efforts made by the district administration over the past year towards security, confidence-building, education, and development. The positive impact of these initiatives is now clearly visible in the lives of the new generation. The achievement of these daughters from Chormara and Gurmaha demonstrates that true change comes not just from physical development but also from a shift in people's dreams and mindset.
