On the auspicious occasion of Rakshabandhan, Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary made several significant announcements for the women and girls of Bihar. Extending his greetings for Rakshabandhan, he emphasized that the festival strengthens family values and relationships. The Chief Minister stated that the state government is continuously working towards making women self-reliant and economically empowered.

He highlighted that the target set in 2020 to provide 10 lakh government jobs and 10 lakh employment opportunities has been surpassed, with over 50 lakh people having received opportunities to date. Now, under the upcoming vision, the government aims to provide direct employment to one crore women, making them self-reliant and prosperous.

Chaudhary also announced the establishment of a women's university in Bihar. A unique feature of this university will be that women will hold key positions, from the Vice-Chancellor to professors and other important roles. He believes this university will provide a new direction to the dreams of girls, helping them develop leadership skills, expertise, and self-confidence alongside education.

In another major announcement, the Chief Minister stated that approximately 10 lakh Jeevika Didis' families in Bihar would be connected to the 'Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana,' under which solar panels will be installed in their homes. He lauded the efforts of Jeevika Didis, noting their contribution of nearly one lakh crore to Bihar's economy. He also mentioned that under the 'Chief Minister's Women Employment Scheme,' funds are being provided for about five lakh vehicles, and nearly 50 lakh women have become 'Lakhpati Didis.'

The Chief Minister reiterated the government's commitment to fulfilling the visions of the Prime Minister and former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, assuring that more schemes will be implemented in the future to strengthen women in education, employment, and financially. He also listed existing provisions for women in Bihar, such as 35% reservation in government jobs and 50% in Panchayati Raj institutions, along with schemes like the Women Employment Scheme and Balika PhD Fellowship.
