Motihari, Bihar: A shocking incident of moral policing has come to light from the Pakaridayal police station area in Motihari district. A couple, allegedly caught in an objectionable situation, was subjected to extreme humiliation by villagers. Their heads were forcibly shaved, and they were paraded through the village wearing garlands of shoes. The horrific act was captured on video and subsequently went viral on social media, prompting swift action from the police.

According to reports, the incident occurred in a village under the Pakaridayal police station's jurisdiction when a man visited his girlfriend's house. Villagers caught them together and, taking the law into their own hands, subjected them to this barbaric treatment. After shaving their heads and making them wear shoe garlands, the couple was forced to walk through the village streets as a form of public shaming. Some individuals recorded the incident and shared it online, bringing it to public attention.

Upon the video reaching the police, a case was registered at the Pakaridayal police station under the directives of the Motihari Superintendent of Police. Acting swiftly, the police identified six accused based on video footage and other evidence and subsequently arrested them. Authorities stated that efforts are underway to identify other individuals involved in the incident, and strict action will be taken against them as well. The police have urged the public not to take the law into their own hands under any circumstances and to report such incidents immediately.
