Four individuals have been arrested in the Govindganj police station area of East Champaran district on charges of drug consumption. This action was taken as part of an 'S Drive' and a special contemporary campaign by the police. Two separate cases have been registered in connection with these arrests.

The first case was registered on October 15 (Case No. 275/26) at Govindganj police station. On this day, two accused were apprehended around 7:24 PM and 7:30 PM. They have been identified as Ajay Sharma alias Ramshankar Sharma (40), a resident of Sharma Tola, Govindganj, and Ambu Singh (55), a resident of Rajepur, Govindganj.

The second case was registered on October 16 (Case No. 276/26). On this day, two more youths were arrested at 12:05 AM. They include Govind Kumar (19) and Rajan Singh (29), a resident of Mananpur, Govindganj. All arrested individuals have been sent to judicial custody.

The Govindganj police station chief stated that continuous campaigns are being conducted in the area against drug consumption and alcohol prohibition. The police are actively working to curb these activities and such campaigns will continue. This operation is part of the police's efforts to prevent drug abuse in society.
