The Communist Party of India (CPI) staged a robust protest in Madhepura on Tuesday, advocating for the rights of landless poor and tribal communities. Party workers gathered at the district headquarters, demonstrating their nine-point demands and submitting a memorandum to the authorities. The primary objectives of this protest were to secure five decimal plots of land for the homeless, provide forest land titles to tribals, and curb atrocities against Dalits and the poor.

CPI District Secretary Ramesh Kumar Raman stated that government policies are detrimental to the poor and marginalized. He alleged that the landless are not receiving residential land, and tribal communities are being denied their rights to forest land. Raman emphasized the increasing atrocities against Dalits and weaker sections, criticizing the administration's lack of concrete action. He urged the administration to take swift and just action in such cases.

During the protest, party leaders demanded that the government immediately issue land titles to the landless, grant forest land rights to tribals, and implement effective measures to stop the oppression of Dalits and the poor. They also called for an end to corruption in MGNREGA and timely wage payments for laborers. The CPI warned that if their demands are not addressed promptly, they would escalate their agitation with larger protests in the future. A significant number of party workers and affected individuals participated, chanting anti-government slogans and voicing their demands.
