Lakhs worth of jewellery and cash have been stolen from a snack shop in Lakhni Bigha, under the Shahpur police station area of Danapur. Thieves reportedly broke open the shop's door to gain entry and made off with ornaments valued at lakhs of rupees, along with 80,000 rupees in cash. The incident has caused a stir in the area, leading to fear among local traders.

The shop owner stated that the theft occurred on Sunday night. Upon arriving to open the shop in the morning, they discovered the shutter and door broken. Inside, the shop's contents were ransacked, and the cash from the till was missing. Additionally, gold and silver jewellery worth lakhs of rupees had also been stolen. The incident was immediately reported to the Shahpur police station.

Police arrived at the scene and have begun their investigation. They inspected the site and questioned local residents. Police confirmed that a case has been registered against unknown thieves, and efforts are underway to apprehend the culprits soon. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage from the vicinity to identify the perpetrators.

Local traders have urged the police administration to tighten security measures, citing a rise in such incidents which are negatively impacting their businesses and making them feel unsafe. There is significant anger among Lakhni Bigha's business community following this theft. Police have assured that efforts will be made to arrest the criminals and recover the stolen goods promptly.
