On the last Monday of the Sawan month, Shiva temples across Begusarai district witnessed a massive influx of devotees. From early morning, devotees began arriving at temples in Dandari and other parts of the district to offer water (jalabhishek) and perform prayers to Lord Shiva.

Prominent Shiva temples in Sadar block, including those in Nima, Chandpura, Parna, and Sankh, saw long queues of devotees forming as early as 4 AM. Worshippers carried offerings such as belpatra leaves, flowers, milk, and Gangajal, chanting 'Har Har Mahadev' as they waited for their turn to perform jalabhishek. In several locations, young devotees also carried kanwars (sacred pots) to offer water to the deity.

Special preparations were made by temple committees for this significant last Monday of Sawan. Temples were adorned with flowers and attractive lighting, enhancing the spiritual ambiance. To manage the large crowds and ensure smooth flow, volunteers and police personnel were deployed. Separate queues were arranged for men and women, facilitating an orderly darshan and worship experience for all. According to religious beliefs, performing jalabhishek on the last Monday of Sawan fulfills all desires of the devotees. The stream of devotees continued until late evening, maintaining a devotional atmosphere throughout the region.
