A Panchayat Samiti meeting held on Tuesday at the Education Complex Center in Darauli block headquarters was marked by an uproar over alleged arbitrariness and indifference of officials. Chaired by Block Chief Shanti Devi, the meeting saw public representatives express strong displeasure over the attitude of officials and staff. Before the meeting even began, BDC members Anoop Kumar Sharma and Saurabh Singh walked out in protest, though they later returned at the request of other members.

At the start of the meeting, Darauli Panchayat Mukhiya Lal Bahadur demanded answers from the BPRO and BDO regarding the proceedings and confirmation of the previous meeting, a demand supported by Deputy Chief Umesh Yadav. Mukhiyas Shyama Yadav, Devendra Singh, and several other members also sought clarification from officials. A heated debate between officials and public representatives lasted for about an hour. The meeting could only proceed after assurances from CO Vidyabhushan Bharti.

Most Mukhiyas and BDC members appeared agitated over their problems. Anoop Kumar Sharma alleged irregularities in various schemes in his panchayat, while Saurabh Singh stated that questions raised in the house for the past four years had gone unanswered. He questioned the working style of officials and demanded action. Members also protested the absence of the electricity company's JE, expelling the staff member who arrived in his place. Deputy Chief Umesh Yadav accused the JE of misusing his position to harass innocent common people.

Sarharwa Panchayat Mukhiya Shyama Yadav strongly protested issues related to ration cards, alleging that ration cards were not being made for the poor and up to four thousand rupees were being charged for their creation. She also accused dealers of colluding with officials to provide beneficiaries with only four kilograms of ration. Members demanded an investigation into all these matters and action against the culprits. BDO Dipti Shikha, CO Vidyabhushan Bharti, MNREGA PO Jyoti Singh, and many other officials and public representatives were present at the meeting.
