A wave of religious fervor has gripped the Husainabad region ahead of Shardiya Navratri. On Saturday, a grand water procession (Jalyatra) was taken out from several locations, including Mahavir Ji Bhawan in Japla, Gram Chankar, and Gram Ghurua. A large number of devotees, carrying kalash (pots), participated in the procession, creating a devotional atmosphere throughout the area. Accompanied by drums, dhol, and DJ sounds, devotees chanted slogans in praise of Mata Rani as they proceeded to the Sone River bank. There, they offered prayers to Maa Durga and performed rituals with full devotion.
Mid-district council candidate and social worker Mithilesh Kumar Singh also joined the event. He distributed kalash among the devotees and flagged off the procession towards the Sone River in Deori. Emphasizing the religious significance of Navratri, Mithilesh Kumar Singh stated that Shardiya Navratri commences on October 11th, with various religious ceremonies beginning at different puja sites in the region. He highlighted the Jalyatra as an essential part of Navratri worship, strengthening religious traditions and promoting unity, brotherhood, and harmony in society.
Devotees participating in the Jalyatra walked approximately five kilometers to reach the Sone River bank in Deori. Scholars, amidst Vedic chants, ritually filled the kalash with water. Subsequently, the devotees returned to Mahavir Ji Bhawan with the water-filled kalash, where further religious ceremonies were performed. The entire event was marked by immense enthusiasm among the devotees. Rajendra Pal, Nitin Kumar Singh, Ratan Lal, and a large number of youth from the Mahavir Ji Bhawan Puja Committee played an active role in making the Jalyatra a success.
