A physically challenged teacher died in a tragic road accident in the Kuchaikote police station area of Gopalganj district, while his colleague was seriously injured. The incident occurred on NH-27 in Kuchaikote when an unidentified speeding vehicle struck their motorcycle. The deceased has been identified as 45-year-old Manoj Kumar Singh, a resident of Revatith village in Baikunthpur block, who was himself physically challenged and worked as a teacher in a primary school.

According to police sources, Manoj Kumar Singh was traveling on a motorcycle with a colleague. As they reached the Kuchaikote police station area, an uncontrolled unidentified vehicle collided with their bike. The collision was so severe that both motorcyclists fell onto the road and sustained serious injuries. Local residents immediately rushed the injured to a nearby hospital for treatment, but Manoj Kumar Singh succumbed to his injuries en route. His colleague remains in critical condition and is undergoing treatment.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Kuchaikote police arrived at the scene, took custody of the body, and sent it to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The police have also informed the deceased's family, and the post-mortem will be conducted after their arrival. Police have registered a case against the unknown vehicle driver and are scanning nearby CCTV footage to identify the vehicle involved in the collision. The incident has cast a pall of grief over Revatith village and the teaching community. Family members are inconsolable. Local residents have urged the administration to promptly apprehend the accused driver and provide appropriate compensation to the victim's family.
