Kirendra Narah, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of the Katihar Division, conducted a comprehensive inspection of Katihar Railway Station on Saturday. During his visit, Narah reviewed various aspects related to passenger amenities, security arrangements, and operational efficiency at the station. He specifically assessed the cleanliness of platforms, availability of drinking water, condition of waiting rooms, and smooth traffic management in the circulating area. The DRM also checked the functionality of signage and public announcement systems installed for passenger convenience.

A key focus of the inspection was the Manihari Terminal project. DRM Narah issued strict instructions to railway officials to ensure the completion of the Manihari Terminal construction work before the upcoming Chhath festival. This terminal is a significant project aimed at improving rail connectivity and providing enhanced facilities for passengers in the region. He urged engineers and contractors involved in the project to expedite work while maintaining high quality standards. Narah emphasized that completing the terminal before Chhath, a major festival in Bihar, would greatly benefit millions of people. He directed all concerned departments to work in coordination to achieve this target.

Furthermore, the DRM reviewed the security arrangements at the station, providing necessary guidelines to officials from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) to ensure passenger safety. He stressed the importance of vigilance for crime control and monitoring suspicious activities. The inspection primarily aimed at enhancing passenger facilities and making railway operations more efficient.
