EOU की बड़ी कार्रवाई: बिहार ओपन स्कूलिंग बोर्ड के डिप्टी डायरेक्टर के ठिकानों पर छापेमारी, आय से 90% अधिक संपत्ति मिली

बिहार में भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ आर्थिक अपराध इकाई (EOU) ने एक बड़ी कार्रवाई की है। बिहार ओपन स्कूलिंग बोर्ड (BOSB) के डिप्टी डायरेक्टर अजय कुमार सिंह के खिलाफ आय से अधिक संपत्ति का मामला दर्ज किया गया है। EOU की जांच में सामने आया है कि अजय कुमार सिंह ने अपनी वास्तविक आय से लगभग 3 करोड़ 43 लाख 78 हजार 300 रुपये अधिक की संपत्ति अर्जित की है, जो उनकी आय से करीब 90.04 प्रतिशत ज्यादा है।
इसी आधार पर, उनके खिलाफ भ्रष्टाचार निवारण अधिनियम के तहत मामला दर्ज किया गया है। पटना की विशेष निगरानी अदालत से तलाशी वारंट मिलने के बाद, EOU ने एक साथ तीन अलग-अलग ठिकानों पर छापेमारी शुरू की। इस कार्रवाई की कमान डीएसपी स्तर के अधिकारियों के हाथ में है।
EOU की एक टीम पटना के खाजपुरा स्थित चन्द्रतारा भवन पहुंची, जबकि दूसरी टीम मिठापुर स्थित बिहार ओपन स्कूलिंग बोर्ड के कार्यालय में अजय कुमार सिंह के कमरे की तलाशी ले रही थी। तीसरी टीम बेगूसराय के साहेबपुर कमाल में स्थित उनके पैतृक घर पर पहुंची। टीमों ने इन सभी जगहों पर दस्तावेज, संपत्ति से जुड़े कागजात और अन्य महत्वपूर्ण रिकॉर्ड की गहन जांच की। तलाशी पूरी होने के बाद बरामद सामान और दस्तावेजों के आधार पर आगे की कानूनी कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
यह कार्रवाई ऐसे समय में हुई है जब बिहार में परीक्षा में धांधली और पेपर लीक के मामलों पर भी EOU लगातार सख्ती बरत रही है। हाल ही में, EOU ने BPSC की AEDO परीक्षा में गड़बड़ी के मामले में बायोमीट्रिक ऑपरेटर अतुल राज पांडेय को पटना से गिरफ्तार किया था। जांच में अतुल का सॉल्वर गैंग से संबंध सामने आया था। अतुल अप्रैल 2026 में हुई AEDO परीक्षा के दौरान कंकड़बाग के रघुनाथ उच्च बालिका विद्यालय में बायोमीट्रिक ऑपरेटर था। उसके और उसकी सहकर्मी के मोबाइल से परीक्षा से जुड़े कई डिजिटल सबूत बरामद हुए थे। EOU की यह कार्रवाई बिहार में भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ अपनी प्रतिबद्धता को दर्शाती है।
The Economic Offence Unit (EOU) of Bihar has taken significant action against corruption, registering a disproportionate assets case against Ajay Kumar Singh, Deputy Director of the Bihar Open Schooling Board (BOSB). EOU investigations revealed that Singh accumulated assets worth approximately ₹3.43 crore, which is about 90.04% more than his legitimate income. Based on these findings, a case has been filed under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
Following a search warrant from the Special Vigilance Court in Patna, EOU teams simultaneously raided three locations. DSP-level officers are leading the operation. One team arrived at Chandratara Bhawan in Khajpura, Patna, while another searched Singh's office at the BOSB headquarters in Mithapur. A third team conducted a search at his ancestral home in Sahebpur Kamal, Begusarai. The teams are meticulously examining documents, property papers, and other crucial records. Further action will be taken based on the evidence collected during these searches.
This crackdown comes amidst the EOU's ongoing efforts to tackle examination irregularities and paper leaks in Bihar. Recently, the EOU arrested biometric operator Atul Raj Pandey from Patna in connection with irregularities in the BPSC AEDO examination. Pandey was found to be linked to a solver gang and was a biometric operator at Raghunath Uchcha Balika Vidyalaya in Kankarbagh during the AEDO exam in April 2026. Digital evidence related to the examination was recovered from his and his colleague's mobile phones. The EOU's continuous actions underscore its commitment to combating corruption across the state.
