Faridabad: A tragic accident occurred in Sector-14 during excavation work for a sewer line, resulting in the electrocution deaths of two laborers from Bihar. The incident took place when five laborers were digging the ground, and their iron hammer vibrator machine came into contact with an underground power line.

The deceased have been identified as Manish, 55, and Shahanshah, approximately 30, both originally from Bihar. They were living on rent in Sector-2 and Sector-3 of Ballabgarh and working as laborers. During the excavation, the machine became electrified, and Manish and Shahanshah were caught in the current. Their fellow workers rushed them to the hospital, but doctors declared them dead.

Upon receiving information, the police arrived at the scene and sent the bodies to Badshah Khan Civil Hospital for post-mortem examination. After the post-mortem, the bodies were handed over to their families. Ajay, Manish's brother, and Shobha, Shahanshah's sister-in-law, filed a complaint with the police, alleging negligence as the cause of the accident. They demanded a fair investigation and strict action against those responsible. Shobha mentioned that Shahanshah was not yet married.

Sector-14 police outpost in-charge Mohammad Jamshed stated that an investigation has been initiated based on the families' complaint. Preliminary findings suggest that the machine became electrified after coming into contact with an underground power line. The police are investigating the matter, and further legal action will be taken based on the investigation's outcome.
