In Rahul Nagar, Madaiya, Azamgarh, the fish market has once again set up shop on the path leading to the Durga Temple. This has created significant difficulties for devotees, especially women, trying to access the temple. Prior to Dussehra, this issue was highlighted by Dainik Bhaskar, leading to the market's removal through the intervention of Councilor Munna Nishad and the Roadways Police Outpost in-charge.

However, since Dashami, stalls have reappeared on the same route. Councilor Munna Nishad stated that despite his objections, vendors have resumed their businesses. He mentioned that earlier discussions had taken place with the vendors, and they had agreed to not set up shops there. Nishad alleged that some individuals incited the vendors to reopen their shops, suggesting it was a politically motivated act of retaliation. For years, the market on this path has forced devotees to navigate through dirt and inconvenience, causing distress to their religious sentiments.
