Ghurua police in Gaya district have successfully recovered ₹40,000 that was stolen in a recent incident. The recovery was made during a raid conducted in Katihar district. However, the accused thief managed to evade arrest and fled the scene during the police operation.

According to police sources, the Ghurua police station was investigating a theft case that occurred within its jurisdiction. Acting on a confidential tip-off, a special team from Ghurua police was dispatched to Katihar. The intelligence suggested that the individual involved in the theft was hiding in Katihar with the stolen money. Based on this information, the police team raided the specific location.

During the raid, the police successfully located and recovered the ₹40,000. This amount was reportedly in the possession of the accused since the theft. Despite the successful recovery, the accused thief managed to escape from the premises as the police moved in. Ghurua police have initiated a manhunt for the absconding suspect and are confident of apprehending him soon. Further legal proceedings in the case are underway. The recovered funds will be returned to the rightful owner after completing the necessary legal formalities.
