The deteriorating condition of roads and culverts in Gopalganj district has become a grave concern, significantly increasing the risk of accidents. Across various parts of the district, particularly in rural areas, roads are in such a dilapidated state that potholes and broken culverts are commonplace. This poor infrastructure leads to frequent vehicle overturns, resulting in property damage and serious injuries to commuters.

Recently, social activists in the district have taken the initiative to draw attention to this critical issue. They submitted a memorandum to the Member of Parliament from Gopalganj, demanding immediate repair and construction of the district's dilapidated roads and culverts. The memorandum highlights that many culverts are so severely damaged that they pose a threat of major accidents. The situation is even worse in rural areas, where it becomes difficult for emergency services, such as ambulances, to reach their destinations.

The activists emphasized that the poor condition of roads not only disrupts traffic but also hinders the economic development of the region. Farmers face significant difficulties in transporting their agricultural produce to markets, and commercial activities are also adversely affected. They urged the MP to take this matter seriously and direct the concerned departments to take immediate action to ensure safe and smooth travel for the residents of the district. This issue has become a major challenge for local administration and the government, requiring urgent attention.
