A dispute over a birth certificate escalated into violence in Heeranda village, under the Thave police station area of Gopalganj district, leaving an elderly man seriously injured. Following the incident, Thave police promptly responded and detained two individuals for questioning.

The victim, 60-year-old Ramdev Prasad, a resident of Heeranda village, had been embroiled in a long-standing dispute with his neighbors regarding a birth certificate. The disagreement, which was initially confined to verbal arguments, suddenly turned violent on Sunday morning. Ramdev Prasad was reportedly attacked by his neighbors, sustaining severe head injuries and other bodily harm.

He was immediately rushed to Thave Referral Hospital by family members and locals. After initial treatment, due to the severity of his injuries, doctors referred him to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital for advanced medical care. He is currently undergoing treatment there, and his condition is reported to be stable.

Upon receiving information about the incident, a team from Thave police station arrived at Heeranda village. Police investigated the scene, recorded statements from the victim's family, and based on preliminary findings, detained two suspects. They are currently being interrogated to ascertain the full details of the incident and identify any other individuals involved. The Station House Officer stated that an FIR is being registered, and strict legal action will be taken against the culprits. Police presence has been maintained in the village to ensure peace and order.
