A tragic accident occurred in Sher Sidhwalia village, under the Sidhwalia police station area of Gopalganj district, where a laborer died after a tractor overturned into a pond while working in a field. The incident took place near Jio Chimni.

According to information, the deceased laborer, 46-year-old Lal Babu Prasad, son of Harihar Sah, a resident of Sher village, was preparing the field for paddy transplantation. During this, a wheel of the tractor slipped into a deep pond located next to the field. Due to excessive moisture and slipperiness, the tractor lost control and plunged directly into the water. The laborer had no chance to react and drowned along with the tractor.

Following the accident, farmers working in nearby fields and local villagers immediately rushed to the scene. After much effort, they pulled the laborer out of the water, but by then, he had already died. The Sidhwalia police station was informed of the incident. Police arrived at the scene, took custody of the body, and sent it to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination. The police are investigating the entire matter and taking further legal action. The deceased leaves behind three young children, and a pall of gloom has descended upon his family after the incident.
