Thieves targeted a house in Birhima village, under Verma Panchayat in Gurua block of Gaya district, on Thursday night. Cash amounting to approximately ₹65,000 and gold and silver jewelry were stolen from the residence of Anuj Kumar, a local villager. The incident has created an atmosphere of fear in the village.

According to reports, the thieves entered the house at night and took the cash and jewelry from a room. The family discovered the theft in the morning, leading to a commotion. The family immediately informed the Gurua police station. A police team promptly arrived at the scene, inspected the premises, and began investigating potential clues related to the incident.

The victimized family stated that the thieves made off with about ₹65,000 in cash along with gold and silver ornaments. The value of the stolen jewelry is currently being assessed. This incident has heightened security concerns among the villagers, who have urged the police to increase night patrols in the village and apprehend the culprits swiftly. The police are actively investigating the case and attempting to identify those involved in the theft.
