हिलसा पुलिस ने 58 लीटर अवैध शराब जब्त की, कार चालक गिरफ्तार

नालंदा जिले के हिलसा में पुलिस ने शराबबंदी कानून के तहत बड़ी कार्रवाई करते हुए 58 लीटर अवैध देसी शराब जब्त की है। यह घटना तब हुई जब पुलिस हिलसा-एकंगरसराय मुख्य मार्ग पर वाहनों की नियमित जांच कर रही थी। इसी दौरान, एक संदिग्ध कार को रुकने का इशारा किया गया। पुलिस को देखते ही कार चालक ने वाहन भगाने का प्रयास किया, जिससे गाड़ी अनियंत्रित होकर सड़क किनारे लगे बिजली के खंभे से टकरा गई और क्षतिग्रस्त हो गई।
पुलिस ने त्वरित कार्रवाई करते हुए चालक को मौके से गिरफ्तार कर लिया। गिरफ्तार चालक की पहचान हिलसा थाना क्षेत्र के डियावां गांव निवासी मोहम्मद सद्दाम के रूप में हुई है। पुलिस ने क्षतिग्रस्त वाहन की तलाशी ली, जिसमें से 58 लीटर देसी शराब बरामद की गई। जब्त शराब को प्लास्टिक के विभिन्न कंटेनरों में पैक किया गया था।
इस संबंध में हिलसा थानाध्यक्ष रामप्रकाश सिंह ने बताया कि पुलिस अधीक्षक के निर्देश पर शराब तस्करों के खिलाफ लगातार अभियान चलाया जा रहा है। इसी क्रम में यह सफलता मिली है। उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि गिरफ्तार चालक के खिलाफ बिहार मद्य निषेध और उत्पाद अधिनियम के तहत मामला दर्ज कर लिया गया है और उसे न्यायिक हिरासत में भेज दिया गया है। जब्त वाहन और शराब को भी पुलिस ने अपने कब्जे में ले लिया है। इस कार्रवाई से क्षेत्र में अवैध शराब के कारोबार पर नकेल कसने में मदद मिलेगी।
In a significant operation against the prohibition law, Hilsa police in Nalanda district have seized 58 liters of illicit country-made liquor. The incident occurred during a routine vehicle check on the Hilsa-Ekangarsarai main road. Police signaled a suspicious car to stop, but the driver attempted to flee, causing the vehicle to lose control and collide with an electric pole, resulting in damage.
The police promptly apprehended the driver, identified as Mohammad Saddam, a resident of Diawan village within the Hilsa police station area. A search of the damaged vehicle led to the recovery of 58 liters of country-made liquor, packed in various plastic containers.
Hilsa Station House Officer Ram Prakash Singh stated that this success is part of a continuous campaign against liquor smugglers, conducted under the directives of the Superintendent of Police. He added that a case has been registered against the arrested driver under the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, and he has been sent to judicial custody. The seized vehicle and liquor are now in police custody. This action is expected to curb the illegal liquor trade in the region.
