A potential major accident was averted on Sunday at Hilsa Railway Station in Nalanda district when four wagons of a goods train derailed. This incident severely disrupted rail traffic on the route for approximately four hours. Several important trains, including the Magadh Express, were halted at various stations, causing significant inconvenience to passengers.

According to reports, the incident occurred on Sunday morning. As the goods train was passing through Hilsa station, four of its rear wagons suddenly derailed. Fortunately, there were no casualties or major damages reported. Upon receiving information about the incident, railway officials and technical teams immediately rushed to the site. Relief and rescue operations commenced on a war footing. Work to remove the derailed wagons and repair the damaged tracks was carried out swiftly.

Railway officials stated that a high-level committee has been formed to investigate the causes of the incident.
