Dubahal Panchayat in Imamganj block, Gaya district, has been grappling with a severe power crisis for the past three months. The prolonged power outages are causing significant distress to villagers in their daily routines. Residents report difficulties with basic tasks like bathing, cooking, and sleeping, especially exacerbated by the summer heat. This power shortage is also negatively impacting children's education and agricultural activities.

Villagers, including Dilshad Ansari, stated that they have repeatedly submitted applications to the electricity department to resolve the issue. They allege that a previous official, Sachin Kumar, demanded money for the work, and despite some payment, a permanent solution was not provided. When complaints are made, electricity department employees perform temporary repairs to fuses and lines, but the problem resurfaces shortly after.

Anaullah Khan mentioned that land for a new transformer has already been identified, but the transformer has not yet been installed. He hopes that the installation of a new transformer could significantly alleviate the power problems.

Sobinder Nautiyal, an official from the electricity department, attributed the issue to low-load conditions in the area. He assured that a departmental team would be dispatched to investigate the matter. Nautiyal also warned that connections of those using electricity illegally would be cut, and FIRs would be lodged against them if necessary. Many villagers, including Dilshad Ansari, Anaullah Khan, Batsia Devi, Rukmaniya Devi, Satwa Devi, Hasrat Qureshi, and Kamla Devi, were present and reiterated their demand for a swift and permanent resolution.
