In a continuous drive against illegal narcotics in Nalanda district, Islampur police have arrested two individuals with 11.24 grams of brown sugar. The police received a tip-off that some people were consuming and selling narcotics near a neem tree located at the graveyard in Baulibagh mohalla.

Following the confirmation of the information, a police team raided the spot. During the search, a total of 11.24 grams of brown sugar was recovered from Mohammad Azad (32), son of Shivdani alias Doman Miyan, a resident of Sonawa, and Rizwan Qureshi (18), son of Aslam Qureshi, a resident of Baulibagh. A mobile phone was also seized from them. Both accused are residents of the Islampur police station area.

Case number 476/26 has been registered at Islampur police station in this regard, and further legal action is being taken. The police have initiated further investigation into the seized narcotics and mobile phone.
