In Bihar's Buxar district, passenger organizations have questioned the approach of local MLAs and MPs regarding the reopening of the Itarhi railway crossing. Passenger representatives, including Krishna Bihari Choubey, Daya Singh, and Ramashankar, jointly stated that public representatives should pressure the Bihar government instead of lobbying railway officials from Danapur's DRM to the Railway Minister.

The passenger organization argues that the road above the railway overbridge falls under the jurisdiction of the Bihar government. Its poor condition is the primary reason for the crossing's closure, causing significant inconvenience to the public. They assert that the Bihar government will eventually have to repair the road, so elected representatives should seek a solution directly from the state government.

Choubey, Singh, and Ramashankar have appealed to the MP and MLA to focus their efforts on pressuring the Bihar government to repair the road, rather than engaging with railway authorities, to prevent the wastage of public funds. They emphasized that if even half the energy currently expended on reopening the crossing were directed towards getting the state government to build the road, the overbridge road would have been completed by now, providing permanent relief to the public. The passenger representatives expressed concern over the lack of attention to this crucial public interest issue.
