जहानाबाद के कुर्था प्रखंड स्थित सचई एवं बारा पैक्स के निर्वाचन के लिए जिला प्रशासन ने विधि-व्यवस्था बनाए रखने की तैयारियां तेज कर दी हैं। बिहार राज्य निर्वाचन प्राधिकार की अधिसूचना के अनुसार, दोनों पैक्स के लिए मतदान और मतगणना 1 सितंबर को निर्धारित है। विशेष रूप से, बारा पैक्स निर्वाचन क्षेत्र को विधि-व्यवस्था के दृष्टिकोण से अति संवेदनशील घोषित किया गया है।
प्रशासन ने इस क्षेत्र में सभी लाइसेंसी शस्त्रों और कारतूसों को जमा कराने का निर्देश दिया है। कुर्था के अंचल अधिकारी को शस्त्रों के भौतिक सत्यापन के लिए दंडाधिकारी के रूप में प्रतिनियुक्त किया गया है। साथ ही, कुर्था थानाध्यक्ष को क्षेत्र के सभी शस्त्र अनुज्ञप्तिधारियों को व्यक्तिगत नोटिस जारी करने का निर्देश दिया गया है। संबंधित शस्त्र लाइसेंसधारियों को 29 अगस्त तक अपने शस्त्रों और कारतूसों का भौतिक सत्यापन कराने और उन्हें चुनाव प्रक्रिया समाप्त होने तक जमा रखने को कहा गया है। प्रशासन ने स्पष्ट किया है कि शांतिपूर्ण और निष्पक्ष चुनाव संपन्न होने के बाद, जमा किए गए शस्त्रों को नियमानुसार 3 सितंबर को वापस कर दिया जाएगा। प्रशासन ने सभी लाइसेंसधारियों से इस निर्धारित समय-सीमा में प्रक्रिया पूरी कर चुनाव को शांतिपूर्ण माहौल में संपन्न कराने में सहयोग की अपील की है।
