A late-night police raid in Kaimur district has ignited a major controversy. In Bhabhua city, police raided a young man's home after he allegedly displayed a 'pistol' in a social media reel. However, subsequent investigation revealed that the object believed to be a pistol was, in fact, merely a cigarette lighter. Following the incident, local residents blocked the Bhabhua-Mohania main road, protesting the police action and demanding accountability for what they termed arbitrary behavior.

According to reports, a youth from Ward No. 22 in Bhabhua city recently created a reel where he brandished an item that police mistook for a pistol. Police received information that the youth was creating fear by posting reels with a weapon on social media. Acting on this tip-off, Bhabhua police raided the youth's home on Monday midnight. The youth was taken into custody, and his house was searched. During the search, the 'pistol' was recovered, which, upon examination, turned out to be a cigarette lighter.

After this revelation, a large number of local residents gathered on the Bhabhua-Mohania main road on Tuesday morning, setting tires ablaze and blocking traffic. Protesters accused the police of intruding into the youth's home and harassing him without sufficient investigation. They argued that the police unfairly targeted an innocent youth and caused distress to his family. Demonstrators demanded action against the police personnel involved, stating that such arbitrary actions create an environment of fear among the public.

The road blockade severely disrupted traffic, leading to long queues of vehicles. Local administration and police officials arrived at the scene and attempted to placate the protesters. Officials assured a fair investigation, after which the blockade was finally lifted.
