Karnamepur police in Buxar district have made a significant breakthrough in their ongoing drive against illicit liquor. Acting on a tip-off, the Karnamepur police conducted a raid and successfully seized 33.65 liters of country-made liquor. During the operation, one liquor smuggler was apprehended and subsequently sent to judicial custody. The seized consignment included 72 bottles of various brands of illicit alcohol.

This action was carried out as part of a special campaign launched under the directives of the Superintendent of Police. The Karnamepur Station House Officer (SHO) stated that intelligence was received indicating a flourishing illegal liquor trade within the police station's jurisdiction, with large quantities of liquor being brought in. Taking this information seriously, a team was formed, and the concerned area was cordoned off. During the raid, police observed a suspicious individual who was stopped and searched, leading to the recovery of the illicit liquor bottles.

Interrogation of the arrested smuggler has revealed crucial information, and the police are now actively searching for others involved in this illicit trade. Karnamepur police have affirmed their commitment to continuing the campaign against illegal liquor and ensuring that no smugglers are spared. This operation has created a stir among illegal liquor traders in the region. The police also emphasized that they are keeping a close watch not only on those selling liquor but also on those consuming it.
