Residents of Pranpur block in Katihar district had alleged an embezzlement of ₹44.85 lakh meant for the Dighapar School building. Following their complaint, which included a public demonstration, an investigation was launched. The probe has now revealed that the claim of embezzlement was entirely false. The administration's investigation found that the documents forming the basis of the complaint were not genuine government records but rather fake papers created with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

After the villagers' complaint, an investigation team led by Sadar SDO Suraj Kumar, DEO Rahul Chandra Chaudhary, and BDO Abhijeet Kumar visited the New Primary School Dighapar. Officials inspected the school's condition on-site and cross-referenced departmental records with the documents submitted in the complaint. The investigation clearly showed that no allocation of ₹44.85 lakh for the school building's construction was ever made by the department. No payment was made to any agency under this head, nor was any amount withdrawn from government accounts. This means the sum that villagers claimed was embezzled simply did not exist in government records.

During the document verification, a new and modern aspect of fraud emerged. The papers attached to the complaint appeared to be government documents, but a thorough investigation raised doubts about their authenticity. According to officials, these documents were generated with the help of AI, and based on these fake documents, claims of building construction, fund allocation, and payment were made.

Nevertheless, the New Primary School Dighapar still lacks its own permanent building and currently operates from a rented hut. Consequently, villagers' dissatisfaction regarding the demand for a proper building persists. This entire incident raises serious questions about who attempted to mislead the government system using AI-generated fake documents and what their motive was.
