The road connecting Imligachh Chowk to Rojitpur, which links Ward 25 and 45 of Katihar Municipal Corporation, is in a dilapidated condition. The road is riddled with potholes, causing significant inconvenience to local residents and daily commuters. Vehicle drivers also face difficulties, and there is a constant risk of accidents.

According to local residents, this road connects several neighborhoods and is a crucial route used by a large number of people daily on foot, bikes, auto-rickshaws, and other vehicles. The situation worsens during the rainy season when potholes fill with water and mud, making travel extremely difficult.

In addition to the road's poor condition, haphazard bike parking on and around the government drain has become a major nuisance. This narrows the road, obstructing traffic. Residents also fear that parking on the drain might hinder its cleaning and repair work.

Wards 25 and 45 councilors, Kailash Sharma and Khushboo Parveen, respectively, raised the issues of the road and other local problems prominently in a recent municipal meeting. Both councilors assured swift resolution of these issues. Local residents, including Parvez Alam, Raja Ji, Umer, Anwar Ahmed, Alam, Imran, and Bhuttu, stated that this problem has persisted for a long time. They have demanded that the concerned department initiate road repairs as soon as possible to alleviate the difficulties faced by the public.
