Police administration in Katihar district became fully active after a clash between two groups in Baina village, under Pranpur police station area, on Sunday. Upon receiving information about the incident, a police team immediately reached the spot and began investigating the dispute. The investigation revealed that the clash erupted due to a mutual dispute between the two parties.

Considering the seriousness of the matter, Superintendent of Police Parichay Kumar himself arrived at the scene late on Sunday night. He assessed the situation and gave necessary instructions to the officials. Following this, under the leadership of the SP, along with SDPO Sadar-1 Vishal Anand, SDM Pradyumn Singh Yadav, additional police force, and police from several stations, a flag march was conducted in the area. The sudden flag march by top police and administrative officials in the dark of night created a stir in the locality. Police personnel appealed to the public to maintain peace and harmony by conducting foot marches in sensitive areas.

The Superintendent of Police clarified that the situation in the area is completely normal and under control. The police are keeping a close watch on the entire matter and taking necessary precautions to deal with any untoward situation. Since the incident, both police and administrative officials have been camping at the scene and appealing to people to maintain peace. Currently, the situation is completely under control, but both the police and administration are exercising vigilance and caution.
