A training program was organized on Monday at the Katoria Block Auditorium with the objective of making panchayats clean and healthy. Panchayat secretaries and data entry operators from Katoria, Chandan, and Belhar blocks participated in this program. Executive trainers Riya Singh and Bittu Mandal from the Pradan organization provided the training.

The main theme of the training was 'Healthy Village,' under which detailed information was provided on various aspects related to sanitation, health, and nutrition at the panchayat level. The program included extensive discussions on ways to improve sanitation systems in panchayats and suggested measures to keep villages healthy. Special emphasis was placed on the smooth operation of existing waste processing units in panchayats and the proper management of household waste.

Significant focus was also placed on raising awareness among villagers about sanitation. Highlighting the crucial role of rural women, efforts were made to sensitize them about hygiene and health. It was explained that improved awareness among women could lead to better sanitation and health practices within families and the entire village. Additionally, discussions were held on conducting awareness campaigns and organizing health camps at the panchayat level for the prevention of anemia.
