Motihari: The Faculty of Humanities and Languages at Mahatma Gandhi Central University on Monday unveiled 'Kavyakash', a collection of poems by poet Shiv Prasad Sahu. On this occasion, poet Shiv Prasad Sahu was honored with a traditional stole.

During the event, university faculty members and research scholars shared their insights on the themes and literary sensibilities present in 'Kavyakash'. Presiding over the program, Professor Rajendra Badgujar, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Languages, described 'Kavyakash' as an important document for understanding the literary consciousness of Champaran. Professor Bimlesh Kumar Singh, Head of the Department of English, lauded the poet's personality, describing him as simple, humble, and affectionate. Former Head of the Sanskrit Department, Professor Shyam Kumar Jha, praised Sahu's works and wished him a long and healthy life.

The launch ceremony was attended by Assistant Professors from the Hindi Department, Dr. Asha Meena, Dr. Garima Tiwari, and Dr. Govind Prasad Verma, along with Assistant Professor from the Sanskrit Department, Dr. Vishwajit Barman, and several research scholars from the Hindi Department. This event marks a significant step towards promoting literary activities and encouraging new talent in the Champaran region.
