पुलिस और स्थानीय लोगों की सहायता से घायल बुजुर्ग को पहले खोदावंदपुर प्राथमिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्र ले जाया गया। वहाँ डॉक्टरों ने प्राथमिक उपचार किया, लेकिन उनकी गंभीर हालत को देखते हुए उन्हें बेहतर इलाज के लिए बेगूसराय सदर अस्पताल रेफर कर दिया गया। डॉक्टरों के अनुसार, बुजुर्ग के सिर और शरीर के अन्य हिस्सों में गहरी चोटें आई हैं।
इस घटना के बाद बाजार में कुछ देर के लिए अफरा-तफरी का माहौल बन गया। स्थानीय लोगों ने बताया कि इस सड़क पर अक्सर तेज रफ्तार गाड़ियाँ चलती हैं, जिसके कारण दुर्घटनाएँ होती रहती हैं। उन्होंने प्रशासन से सड़क सुरक्षा नियमों का सख्ती से पालन करवाने और गति नियंत्रण के लिए कदम उठाने की मांग की है। पुलिस ने घटना की जानकारी मिलने के बाद मामले की जांच शुरू कर दी है। बाइक चालक की पहचान अभी तक नहीं हो पाई है, और पुलिस उसकी तलाश कर रही है।
