तेज बारिश के कारण बाजार स्थित एसएच-55 मुख्य सड़क पर करीब एक फीट तक पानी जमा हो गया। इस जलजमाव के कारण राहगीरों, पैदल यात्रियों और छोटे वाहनों को सड़क पार करने में काफी दिक्कतों का सामना करना पड़ा। कई वाहन पानी में फंस गए, जिससे यातायात और भी धीमा हो गया। बाजार आने वाले ग्रामीण भी इस समस्या से जूझते दिखे।
स्थानीय दुकानदारों ने बताया कि जल निकासी की उचित व्यवस्था न होने के कारण हल्की बारिश में भी सड़क पर पानी भर जाता है। उन्होंने प्रशासन से कई बार जल निकासी की व्यवस्था सुधारने की मांग की है, लेकिन अब तक कोई ठोस कदम नहीं उठाया गया है। जलजमाव के कारण उनकी दुकानों में पानी घुसने का खतरा भी बना रहता है, जिससे आर्थिक नुकसान की आशंका रहती है।
खोदावंदपुर बाजार की यह समस्या नई नहीं है। प्रत्येक वर्ष बारिश के मौसम में यह स्थिति उत्पन्न होती है, जिससे स्थानीय लोग और व्यवसायी परेशान रहते हैं। ग्रामीणों ने एक बार फिर स्थानीय प्रशासन और जनप्रतिनिधियों से आग्रह किया है कि वे इस गंभीर समस्या पर ध्यान दें और जल निकासी की स्थायी व्यवस्था करें, ताकि भविष्य में उन्हें ऐसी परेशानियों का सामना न करना पड़े। स्थानीय लोगों का कहना है कि यदि जल्द ही इस समस्या का समाधान नहीं किया गया, तो वे आंदोलन करने पर विवश होंगे।

This problem is not new to Khodawandpur market; it recurs every monsoon season, causing distress to residents and businesses. Villagers have once again urged the local administration and elected representatives to address this serious issue and implement a permanent drainage solution to prevent future occurrences. Residents warn of potential protests if the problem is not resolved soon.
