The fourth annual general meeting of the Jagriti Savera Jeevika Mahila Vikas Swavalambi Sahakari Samiti Limited was held on Friday in Kurtha block, Arwal. During the meeting, it was announced that 233 women in Kurtha block have become 'Lakhpati Didis', achieving economic empowerment through their active involvement in agriculture, animal husbandry, and other livelihood activities.

The event commenced with the lighting of the lamp by District Project Manager Ragini Kumari, Communication Manager Ashok Kumar, Training Officer Rakhi Kumari, Block Project Manager Chandan Kumar, and Committee President Baby Devi. Ragini Kumari lauded the economic empowerment of women associated with Jeevika.

Representatives from 24 villages across 4 panchayats within the committee's operational area participated in the general meeting. Currently, 7276 families are connected with Jeevika through 572 self-help groups, benefiting from various livelihood activities. Block Project Manager Chandan Kumar informed that the committee successfully transacted a total of Rs 84,81,776 in the financial year 2025-26, which has improved the living standards of thousands of families. He commended the contributions of 75 cadres, 41 Jeevika Mitras, 4 bookkeepers, 2 community coordinators, and 1 master bookkeeper associated with the committee.

Committee President Baby Devi presented her annual report, detailing income from various sources, including Rs 29,68,728 from ICF principal repayment and Rs 17,09,482 from general loan repayment. On this occasion, Om Narayan Kumar, manager of Bihar Gramin Bank, praised the women's banking discipline and timely loan repayment. Important resolutions such as the audit report, election of the board of directors, approval of share certificates, and the action plan for the next financial year 2026-27 were passed during the general meeting.
