A laborer died and another person was critically injured in a severe road accident in Gopalpur police station area of Gopalganj district. The incident occurred when the two were returning from a relative's house. Police have sent the body for post-mortem to the Sadar Hospital, and the injured person has been admitted to the emergency ward of the Sadar Hospital for treatment.

The deceased has been identified as Mantosh Yadav, 27, son of Vidya Chaudhary, a resident of Jamshar Hata village under Uchakgaon police station. The injured person is Panna Lal Chaudhary, son of Sunar Chaudhary from the same village. According to information, Mantosh Yadav and Panna Lal Chaudhary were returning to Jamshar Hata on a motorcycle from a relative's house when an unidentified vehicle collided with their bike on the Gopalpur main road.

The accident was so severe that the motorcycle was badly damaged. With the help of local residents, both injured individuals were immediately taken to the hospital, where doctors declared Mantosh Yadav dead. Critically injured Panna Lal Chaudhary was given first aid and then referred to Gorakhpur for better treatment. Mantosh Yadav supported his family, which includes his wife, one son, and two daughters, through his labor work. The family is currently in mourning.
