A weekly market (Haat Bazaar) was inaugurated on Sunday in Lautar village, located in the Lavabar Panchayat of Imamganj block. MLA Deepa Kumari and former Panchayat head Jhaksu Bharti jointly cut the ribbon to mark the opening of the market. This new initiative aims to provide daily necessities to residents of surrounding villages at a single location. The market will now be held every Sunday.

During the inauguration, MLA Deepa Kumari highlighted that weekly markets strengthen the rural economy and play a crucial role in fostering social interaction and harmony. She informed that the market would offer food items, clothes, utensils, and other daily-use goods, reducing the need for villagers to travel to distant markets for their purchases.

Former Panchayat head Jhaksu Bharti emphasized that the Haat Bazaar would not only provide essential goods to local residents but also offer an opportunity for local farmers and small traders to sell their products, ensuring fair prices. He expressed hope that this would boost local employment and trade. Panchayat representatives and dozens of villagers were present at the event, expressing their happiness over the market's launch.
